Interaction between professors and students at Reading University
has definitely improved since the department of IT Science
decided to replace the traditional dry-marker whiteboard in
their lecture theatre with a Interactive Technologies FP 270,
large format front projection interactive whiteboard.
Professors present their lectures using the interactive whiteboard,
which enables both themselves, and their students to annotate
and interact with the presentation. The annotated presentations
can then be printed out for distribution or saved digitally
for later use.
Benefits
- The ability to face the class and maintain eye contact,
resulting in improved teaching methods.
- Lectures are now more dynamic and interactive and the
lecturers are finding it a lot easier to retain the attention
of the students.
