| How do our products work ?
Interactive
Technologies uses Resistive Membrane Technology to create its range
of products. Two electro-conductive layers are separated by a small
air gap. Pressing on the screen brings the two layers together and
a resistance is reported at the point of touch. When using electronic
whiteboards to draw on the screen with your finger, the co-ordinates
of your touch are transferred to the screen and appear as “electronic
ink”. The use of this technology in Interactive Technologies
products eliminates the need for a complex stylus as any object,
including your finger, may be used to operate our Touchscreens.
This robust technology provides the best balance between price and
performance.
Front Projection Touch Screens use a high brightness writing surface.
This material has been specially developed to project high quality
computer and video images. You can even write on them with a dry
marker pen which can be wiped off without special chemicals!
Rear projection versions employ a highly developed rear projection
acrylic encompassing colour enhancement treatments for good picture
saturation and excellent viewing angle. The front of the screen
uses a toughened antiglare layer that also withstands scratches
and other interferences.
Interactive Technologies is scaleable. Although there is a current
limitation in height, screens can be made as wide as required in
formats covering 4 by 3, 16 by 9, and 8 by 3 for dual screen functionality.
All rear projection screens can be mounted as stand alone units
for through-the-wall use, or fixed to a Interactive Technologies
cabinet.
